Youth groups have started organising night-time screenings in the open courtyards of village gurdwaras using projectors and large LED screens, drawing large gatherings of local residents.

On Tuesday night, the film was screened in Pandori village in Amritsar district, Shekhupura and Panjwar villages in Gurdaspur district, besides several villages in Tarn Taran district.

Apart from local youth, several religious organisations and political groups have also joined the initiative by arranging public screenings. In Gurdaspur district, sports promoter Sultan Singh organised a special screening for local athletes and villagers in his native village.

Akali Dal Waris Punjab De leader Raspal Singh Sosan said screenings were held on Tuesday night in Daroli Bhai and Ghall Kalan villages, where a large number of people attended. He added that similar screenings are scheduled in four villages of Moga district.

Sosan alleged that attempts to stop the film would not prevent people from learning about Jaswant Singh Khalra’s life and sacrifice. He claimed that Khalra gave his life while exposing the truth and asserted that banning the film could not suppress the facts it portrays.
