He said that most of the perpetrators of the violence have not been caught, while many prominent political leaders continue to remain free. “This phenomenon is a black spot on the forehead of so-called democratic India,” he said.

Giani Kuldeep Singh added that when it comes to providing justice to minorities, especially Sikhs, the attitude of government machinery becomes discriminatory. “Sikhs must understand that when it comes to the Sikh genocide, the majority of political parties stand against us,” he said.

He further said that it was the responsibility of governments and investigating agencies to probe those accused, including Congress leaders, but they failed to do so “responsibly, sincerely and honestly.”
