According to police, Nikhil sent his brother out to buy food, and when he returned, he found Nikhil hanging. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment.

Nikhil’s mother, Neha, said he studied at a private school and had a dispute with a fellow student and her friends a few days ago. The family claimed that chats and phone calls found on Nikhil’s mobile suggested he took this step due to the conflict.

The police has seized the phone and launched an investigation. Officials said action would be taken against anyone found responsible.

The family has demanded justice, while the police have sent the body for a post-mortem.
