]]> PATIALA: A Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus (PB 06 B 3765) collided with a truck (HP 72 P 7808) in front of Tri City on Sirhind Road here on Friday morning, leaving one person dead and 12 others injured.

The deceased, identified as Anmol Singh (45), was the conductor of the bus and died on the spot.

Among the injured, half of the passengers were admitted to Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, while the rest are receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital. One passenger is said to be in critical condition with a severe head injury.

When contacted, Anaj Mandi police station SHO Gurnam Singh Ghuman said the body of the deceased has been kept at the mortuary of Rajindra Hospital and that further police proceedings are underway.
