According to sources, the ED on Wednesday again summoned a five-member team from GAMADA for questioning at its Jalandhar office. The agency has also called Ajay Sehgal, an office-bearer of the Indian Cooperative Housing Building Society, which is associated with the Suntec City project.

Sources said ED officials are conducting face-to-face questioning of GAMADA officers and Town Planning Department staff as part of the ongoing probe. Those appearing before the agency reportedly include the DTP (Licensing), an accountant, a superintendent, a clerk and another senior official.

Officials who were previously summoned by the ED are also said to be spending limited time at the GAMADA office due to repeated appearances before investigators.

The agency had first summoned GAMADA officials on May 18 and again called them the following day. Earlier, on May 8, the ED had conducted raids at multiple locations linked to three prominent Mohali-based builders as part of a money laundering investigation.

The probe centres around alleged irregularities in Change of Land Use (CLU) approvals granted to major real estate projects, including Suntec City and Altus Space Builders Pvt Ltd.

Investigators are also examining the approvals granted to several real estate projects and scrutinising all licensing and clearance-related documents.

Among those under the scanner are Ajay Sehgal and Suresh Kumar Bajaj of the Indian Cooperative Housing Building Society, officials linked to Altus Space Builders Pvt Ltd, Gaurav Dhir of Dhir Construction, and alleged middleman Nitin Goyal.

Police cases related to these projects have already been registered in Mohali district, while the ED continues to investigate possible financial irregularities and violations linked to project approvals.
