The assembly committee, led by Deputy Speaker Dr Krishan Lal Middha, visited Adampur on Friday to investigate complaints of deficiencies and corruption in the department’s sewerage projects.

During the inspection, Middha expressed anger over the findings and ordered the immediate suspension of the three officials.

Meanwhile, a clash broke out during the inspection between Congress leader Bhupendra Kasnia and BJP general secretary Ashish Kumar Joshi, who were present with Congress MLA from Adampur, Chandra Prakash.

The argument began when Joshi questioned Kasnia’s presence during the inspection, asking, “Who are you to speak in between?”

The situation escalated as Middha defended Joshi, while MLA Chandra Prakash intervened in support of Kasnia. Middha then directed the police to remove Kasnia from the site, following which Kasnia was pushed away and escorted out.
