During a meeting with industry leaders in Gurugram, Mann said Punjab had long been recognised for its hardworking spirit, entrepreneurial drive, and rich heritage. He added that in the past three years, the state’s industrial journey had undergone major transformation and progress.

The Chief Minister invited industrialists to participate in the sixth edition of the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit, scheduled to be held in Mohali from March 13 to 15 next year. Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora was also present at the meeting.

Highlighting Punjab’s industrial growth, Mann said the state had emerged as a hub for food processing, textiles, auto components, hand tools, bicycles, IT, tourism and other sectors. Since March 2022, Punjab has received investment proposals worth ₹1.23 lakh crore, which are expected to generate more than 4.7 lakh jobs, he added.

Mann further said that Punjab was proud to host reputed global companies such as Nestle, Klass, Freudenberg, Cargill, Verbio and Danone, which were contributing significantly to the state’s economic progress by setting up operations here.
