According to the police, a case was registered against the singer on May 30, 2025, under various sections related to fraud. It has been alleged that Manak remarried without divorcing his first wife and also sold her jewellery.

As the case involves an NRI complainant, police said efforts are underway to arrest other accused named in the case, including the singer’s father, mother, brother, and another person. He is grandson of Kuldeep Manak, a famous singer of Punjabi industry.

DSP Bharat Bhushan said that Hasan Manak was produced before a court on Thursday and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
