During the high-level meeting, India strongly conveyed its concerns over security breaches affecting Indian diplomatic missions and senior officials in the UK.

The Indian delegation was led by Rajendra Kumar, Secretary (Border Management), while the UK side was headed by Simon Ridley, Second Permanent Secretary at the UK Home Office.

Wider security cooperation

Apart from extremism, both sides discussed enhancing cooperation in areas such as drug trafficking, illegal migration, criminal justice coordination and cyber security.

The two countries reviewed the existing security partnership and expressed satisfaction over ongoing collaboration. They also agreed to further strengthen bilateral security ties to address emerging threats.

The dialogue comes amid heightened concerns over extremist activities and transnational crime, underscoring the importance of coordinated action between the two nations.
