Following the latest revision, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased from ₹913 to ₹942.

This is the second hike in domestic LPG prices within the past three months. Earlier, prices were raised by ₹60 in March. With the latest increase, the cost of a household LPG cylinder has gone up by a total of ₹89 during this period.

According to industry sources, the decision was taken in view of rising energy costs in international markets and losses incurred on domestic LPG sales.

Sources said state-run oil marketing companies had been facing significant under-recoveries on the sale of subsidised domestic cylinders. The latest price revision is expected to offset only a portion of those losses.

The government had previously approved a ₹50 increase in domestic LPG prices in April 2025. Commercial LPG cylinders also witnessed a price revision earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the price of 5-kg LPG cylinders has also been increased by ₹11, taking the retail price of the smaller cylinder to ₹821.50 in several markets.

Officials said LPG prices are reviewed periodically based on global energy trends, import costs and market conditions.
