Shubham’s wife Aishanya, father Sanjay, and mother Seema broke down in front of the Prime Minister. As they wept and folded their hands, Aishanya pleaded, “Our son’s death should not go in vain.” Deeply moved, Modi placed his hand on Sanjay Dwivedi’s shoulder to console him.

Referring to the counter-terrorism effort, the Prime Minister said, “Operation Sindoor against terrorism has not ended… it will continue.”

On April 22, terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, killing 26 people. Shubham Dwivedi from Kanpur was shot dead in front of his wife. Following the tragedy, Aishanya demanded that her husband be given martyr status.

Later, addressing a public gathering, Modi said, “In the dastardly attack in Pahalgam, our Kanpur son Shubham Dwivedi was also a victim of brutality. We can all feel the pain and anguish within our daughter Aishanya. The entire world has witnessed the anger and courage of our daughters through Operation Sindoor.”
