India had declared a ceasefire from 5 pm on Saturday, but by 9 pm, fresh firing was reported along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Explosions were heard in Srinagar, while Pakistani drones were spotted in Udhampur, official sources said.

According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, the ceasefire agreement, which was reached at the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level, was breached by Pakistan.

“Pakistan has violated the ceasefire. The Indian Army is giving a befitting response. The government has ordered strict and concrete measures,” Misri said.

Earlier in the night, Pakistani drones were reported in 26 locations spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Indian armed forces successfully intercepted and foiled the drone intrusions, pushing Pakistan onto the backfoot.
