]]> New Delhi: With the new GST rates coming into effect from Sunday, automobile prices have seen a sharp drop, bringing major relief to customers. The GST on two-wheelers up to 350cc has been reduced from 28% to 18%, resulting in significant cuts in prices across the segment. Passenger vehicles, too, have witnessed major price drops across brands, making them more affordable ahead of the festive season.

Mahindra cars have become cheaper by up to ₹1.56 lakh. The Bolero Neo is down by ₹1.27 lakh, the XUV 3XO by ₹1.40–1.56 lakh, the Thar by ₹1.35 lakh, and the Scorpio N by ₹1.45 lakh.

Tata Motors models are cheaper by up to ₹1.55 lakh. The Nexon is down by ₹1.55 lakh, Safari by ₹1.45 lakh, and Harrier by ₹1.40 lakh.

Toyota has announced some of the biggest cuts, with prices reduced by up to ₹3.49 lakh. The Fortuner is down ₹3.49 lakh, the Hilux ₹2.52 lakh, and the Vellfire ₹2.78 lakh.

Range Rover models have seen reductions of up to ₹30.4 lakh, with the 4.4P SV LWB down by ₹30.4 lakh and the Defender range by up to ₹18.6 lakh.

Kia vehicles are cheaper by up to ₹4.48 lakh, with the Carnival witnessing the steepest cut.

Skoda customers will benefit from GST cuts and festive offers, with discounts reaching ₹5.8 lakh.

Hyundai cars are now cheaper by up to ₹2.4 lakh, with the Tucson leading the list.

Maruti Suzuki models are down by up to ₹2.25 lakh, with the Invicto cheaper by ₹2.25 lakh and Jimny by ₹1.14 lakh.

Nissan cars are cheaper by up to ₹1 lakh, while Honda cars have dropped by nearly ₹95,500, with the Elevate and City seeing the biggest cuts.

Two-wheeler customers are also set to benefit. Honda two-wheelers are cheaper by up to ₹18,887, with popular models like Activa, Dio, Unicorn, Hornet, and CB350 all witnessing price drops. Similar cuts are expected soon from Hero, Bajaj, TVS, and Royal Enfield (up to 350cc).

Industry experts say the GST revision, coinciding with the start of the festive season, is expected to boost demand in both two-wheeler and four-wheeler markets.
