]]> CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government has launched the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana’ on the occasion of Haryana Diwas, providing ₹2,100 per month to women in the state.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Saturday transferred ₹2,100 each to the bank accounts of 5.22 lakh women during a programme held at Haryana Niwas in Chandigarh.

As of October 31 night, a total of 6.97 lakh women have registered under the scheme. The Chief Minister said that women above 23 years of age will receive ₹2,100 per month under the initiative.

In the first phase, women above 23 years from families with an annual income of up to ₹1 lakh have been included in the scheme, Saini added.
