Ludhiana: A young labourer, Iqbaljit Singh, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Lohat Baddi, located in the Jagraon-Raikot area of Ludhiana. The 25-year-old had been missing since January 21.<\/p>\n
Acting on a complaint filed by the deceased’s mother, Harmeet Kaur, police arrested two suspects, Udham Singh from Badundi and Kulwinder Singh from Lohat Baddi. Kulwinder Singh’s mother, Gurpreet Kaur, is reportedly a panchayat member.<\/p>\n
Gursewak Singh, in charge of the Lohat Baddi police outpost, stated that the mother informed police on January 22. During the investigation, the body was discovered at Kulwinder Singh’s residence.<\/p>\n
Harmeet Kaur alleged that her son consumed liquor with the accused, which was laced with a poisonous substance, leading to his death. A case has been registered, and the accused are in custody.
