Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed five times during a burglary attempt at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. Injuries were reported on his back, wrist, neck, shoulder, and elbow, according to his medical report.<\/p>\n
The attack occurred during the early hours when the alleged assailant, Sariful Islam\u2014an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh using the alias Bijoy Das\u2014broke into the house to commit theft.<\/p>\n
Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw by his friend, Afsar Zaidi, at 4:11 am. The injuries measured between 0.5 cm and 15 cm in length.<\/p>\n
The Mumbai Police arrested the suspect on Saturday from Thane after a three-day search involving 20 teams.<\/p>\n
Following the attack, temporary police security has been deployed outside Saif’s Bandra residence, Satguru Sharan Bhawan.<\/p>\n
Two constables are stationed in shifts, and additional security measures, including CCTV cameras and window grills, have been implemented.<\/p>\n
