New Delhi: The government has increased excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre, according to an official order issued on Monday.<\/p>\n
With this revision, the excise duty on petrol now stands at Rs 13 per litre, while for diesel it has been raised to Rs 10 per litre.<\/p>\n
Although the order did not mention the effect on retail fuel prices, industry sources said there is unlikely to be any immediate change.<\/p>\n
