Kapurthala: In a sudden move, the Punjab government has suspended Kapurthala Civil Surgeon Dr. Richa Bhatia with immediate effect following allegations of misbehaviour with the staff.<\/p>\n
An official order, signed by Principal Secretary Health Kumar Rahul, was issued on Friday and sent to all concerned departments, including the Director of Health Services.<\/p>\n
According to the orders, Dr. Bhatia has been asked to report to the Chandigarh headquarters without delay.<\/p>\n
The action comes amid ongoing protests by the entire clerical staff, who have been demonstrating against what they allege to be ill-treatment by the civil surgeon.<\/p>\n
