New York: An Indian-origin doctor and three members of his family were killed in a plane crash near Karenville, New York, over the weekend. The family was en route to the Catskills for birthday celebrations.<\/p>\n
According to media reports, the victims included renowned urogynecologist Dr Joy Saini; his wife, neurologist Dr Michelle Groff; their daughter Karina Groff, a former MIT soccer player and 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year; and son Jared Groff, a paralegal.<\/p>\n
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said in a statement that the crash occurred at 12:06 pm on April 12. The Mitsubishi MU-2B-40 aircraft, bearing registration N635TA, had taken off from Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York.<\/p>\n
