New Delhi: The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has shaken the world, prompting the Home Ministry to hand over the investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Disturbing videos of the attack have emerged, leaving viewers horrified.<\/p>\n
Investigative agencies claim that several local residents were involved in the attack. Through electronic surveillance, at least 15 Kashmiri Overground Workers (OGWs) and terrorists who supported Pakistani militants have been identified. Officials said the suspects arranged logistics and stored weapons smuggled from Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Sources said that agencies attempted to apprehend five main accused, three of whom have been detained. Police are searching for the remaining two OGWs, who were reportedly present in the area on the day of the attack.<\/p>\n
Their mobile phones were active, and electronic surveillance indicated they communicated about Pakistani terrorists.<\/p>\n
At least 200 OGWs have been detained for questioning so far. Sources added there is strong evidence linking the five key accused to the attack. Teams from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Intelligence Bureau, RAW, and NIA are jointly interrogating them.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police have compiled a list of 15 individuals from south Kashmir who have allegedly supported terrorists and played active roles in attacks over the past few years.
