New Delhi: Amid growing anger across the country over the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Congress MP and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has stirred controversy by questioning the authenticity of India\u2019s 2016 surgical strikes in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Channi said, \u201cIf a bomb falls in our country, we will not know about it. They say we carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan. Nothing happened, the surgical strike was nowhere to be seen, no one came to know about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
His remarks are being seen as a direct challenge to the Indian Army’s claims of crossing the Line of Control (LoC) in 2016 to destroy terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
