Islamabad: Pakistan\u2019s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has claimed that his country\u2019s National Security Advisor (NSA) is in touch with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval. \u201cYes, both of them are in touch with each other,\u201d Dar told Turkish broadcaster TRT during an interview. However, the Indian government has not officially responded to the claim.<\/p>\n
Pakistan\u2019s NSA Lieutenant General Asim Malik (Retd.), who also oversees the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), is reportedly the official in contact with India\u2019s NSA.<\/p>\n
Dar\u2019s remarks come amid heightened tensions following India\u2019s precision missile strikes on nine terror launch pads across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the early hours of Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The strikes, conducted under Operation Sindoor, were a retaliatory response to a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 tourists.<\/p>\n
According to official sources, the primary objective of the strikes was to dismantle terror infrastructure operated by groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, which have been accused of orchestrating cross-border attacks.<\/p>\n
