New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first address to the nation after Operation Sindoor, said that any talks with Pakistan would be solely on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He added that Indian forces were given full freedom to eliminate enemies of the country.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister began his speech by saluting the armed forces and intelligence agencies, acknowledging their efforts in Operation Sindoor. He described the operation as a \u201cpledge of justice\u201d and dedicated it to the daughters of the nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cLate on the night of May 6 and early in the morning of May 7, the whole world witnessed how this pledge was fulfilled,\u201d Modi said, referring to the counter-terror action.<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cWe gave full freedom to the Indian forces to destroy the terrorists. Today, every terrorist and terror organisation knows what happens when the vermilion is wiped off the forehead of our daughters and sisters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Referring to the April 22 terror attack in which civilians on vacation were killed in front of their children, Modi condemned the act as an attempt to disrupt the country\u2019s harmony. \u201cIt was barbaric cruelty.
