He assured all possible assistance from the government and described the incident as a case of \u201cmurder\u201d rather than ordinary deaths.<\/p>\n<p>Mann announced financial aid of Rs 10 lakh to the families of each deceased and said the state government would bear the cost of education for their children.<\/p>\n<p>The chief minister said that 17 people have died so far in the tragedy. He added that strict action has been taken, with two officers each from the police and excise departments suspended. Further investigation is underway.<\/p>\n<p>So far, 17 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
