Bathinda: Sacked police constable Amandeep Kaur, who was earlier arrested in a heroin smuggling case, has been taken into custody once again\u2014this time by the Vigilance Bureau in connection with a disproportionate assets case.<\/p>\n
According to the Vigilance Bureau, a probe has revealed that Kaur\u2019s total income stands at Rs 1.08 crore, while her expenditure amounts to Rs 1.39 crore. The action was taken following a complaint received by the Vigilance Department.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe entire matter is being investigated,\u201d said DSP Vigilance Kulwant Singh.<\/p>\n
Kaur was recently released on bail in the heroin smuggling case. Following her release, she alleged in an interview to a private news channel that the police had filed a false report against her and claimed that her assets were acquired through legitimate earnings.<\/p>\n
