Chandigarh: Six new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Rajasthan. Among them, a 74-year-old and a 37-year-old patient have no known travel history. With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Gurugram has risen to 10.<\/p>\n
In Haryana, the total count has increased to 18 after the fresh cases. On Tuesday, three new cases were reported \u2014 one from Faridabad and two from Gurugram.<\/p>\n
In response to the rising number of infections, a high-level meeting of the Health Department is currently underway at the Secretariat in Chandigarh.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is chairing the meeting, with Health Minister Aarti Rao and Health Department Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal also in attendance.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man from Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, died from COVID-19 in Chandigarh on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The deceased, identified as Rajkumar, had been undergoing treatment at Government Medical College, Sector 32, and had been experiencing breathing difficulties for the past three days.<\/p>\n
Dr Dharani from Sector 32 Hospital said that Rajkumar had been referred to Chandigarh from Ludhiana, where he had recently arrived and was suffering from fever at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
