{"id":45359,"date":"2025-06-26T18:15:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T12:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/?p=45359"},"modified":"2025-06-26T18:15:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T12:45:16","slug":"majithia-arrest-aman-arora-says-no-one-involved-in-drug-peddling-will-be-spared","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/punjab\/majithia-arrest-aman-arora-says-no-one-involved-in-drug-peddling-will-be-spared\/","title":{"rendered":"Majithia arrest: Aman Arora says no one involved in drug peddling will be spared"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chandigarh: Punjab Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Aman Arora on Thursday said that no one involved in Punjab&#8217;s drug trade will be spared, asserting that the seven-day police remand of senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia underlines the need for a thorough investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing media persons at Punjab Bhawan in Chandigarh, Arora said that the case registered against Majithia has revealed unaccounted transactions worth \u20b9540 crore. \u201cOut of this, \u20b9161 crore remains unaccounted, and \u20b9141 crore is suspected to have come from foreign countries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He accused the Congress, SAD, and BJP of allowing the drug trade to flourish in Punjab. \u201cThese parties have not only failed to act against smugglers but have also patronised them.
