Panipat: A youth has accused the Samalkha police station SHO and other police personnel of third-degree torture after being detained in a land dispute case. The youth, identified as Narendra from Budsham village, alleged that he was brutally beaten inside the police station, resulting in a fractured leg.<\/p>\n
The police had registered a case under sections 107 and 151 against Narendra and his wife following the dispute. After securing bail, Narendra underwent a medical examination and lodged a complaint with the Panipat SP, who has directed the Samalkha DSP to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n
In his complaint, Narendra mentioned that he was sowing paddy in his field along with his wife and labourers around 9 am on June 30 when the incident occurred.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Samalkha SHO Deepak refuted the allegations, claiming that Narendra is of a criminal nature and is attempting to blackmail the police.
