Washington: President Donald Trump said the United States is very close to finalising a trade deal with India. \u201cNow, we’ve made an agreement with the United Kingdom, we’ve made a deal with China… We are very close to entering into an agreement with India,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
His remarks came as the Trump administration on Monday sent the first tranche of letters to various countries, detailing the import taxes levied by the US on products from those nations. \u201cWe\u2019re sending letters to different countries about how much tax they’ll have to pay. If you want to do business with the US, you have to pay these taxes,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
The countries that received these letters include Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand and Tunisia.<\/p>\n
