Fazilka: Two assailants involved in the murder of Sanjay Verma, owner of New Wearwell showroom in Fazilka, were killed in a police encounter on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Police said the accused were taken to recover the weapon used in the crime when their accomplices opened fire on the police team. In retaliatory firing, both the accused were killed, while 2-3 of their associates managed to escape. A head constable was injured in the encounter and has been admitted to hospital.<\/p>\n
Verma was shot dead in Abohar on Monday and was cremated on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
DIG Harmanbir Singh Gill said the investigation into the murder revealed the involvement of five people.
