{"id":46724,"date":"2025-07-25T17:28:20","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T11:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/?p=46724"},"modified":"2025-07-25T17:28:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T11:58:20","slug":"jalandhar-administration-to-impart-caregiver-training-for-strengthening-women-empowerment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/punjab\/jalandhar-administration-to-impart-caregiver-training-for-strengthening-women-empowerment\/","title":{"rendered":"Jalandhar Administration to impart caregiver training for strengthening women empowerment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jalandhar News: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today directed departments to provide Caregiver-Mother &amp; Newborn (Non-Clinical) skill training to women aged 18\u201340 years in both urban and rural areas to further strengthen women empowerment across the district.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chairing a review meeting, Dr. Aggarwal asked the District Programme Officer and the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises to launch this program promptly to help women gain livelihood-oriented skills while ensuring their active participation in society.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlighting multi-pronged initiatives for empowering girls and women, the Deputy Commissioner informed that wall paintings and graffiti on the theme of the value of the girl child will be made at various public places across the district to spread awareness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Additionally, meritorious girls will be honored with school bags, steel bottles, and certificates, while talented girl players will be provided with track suits, sports kits, and sports shoes to encourage their participation in sports.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To enhance safety and confidence among girls, self-defense classes will be conducted for government high and secondary school girls with a minimum target of training 10,000 girls, alongside coaching classes for competitive exams with four batches of 30 girls each.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Aggarwal further directed the organization of women safety awareness camps in 100 villages, and orientation and sensitization sessions for Gram Panchayat members, sarpanches, school teachers, anganwadi workers, and police personnel on issues including child protection, gender equality, JJ Act, POCSO Act, Project Hifazat, and the impact of adverse sex ratio.
