Agra: Agra Police have uncovered an international religious conversion racket, with several girls allegedly in contact with individuals based in Pakistan. Fourteen people have been arrested so far and are currently being questioned, officials said.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, the network operated under the name \u201cDawa\u201d and used various digital platforms including social media, online gaming apps like Ludostar, encrypted messaging services, and the dark web to target potential converts. The group allegedly aimed to spread Islam in India by 2050.<\/p>\n
Police said the group specifically targeted Hindu girls, particularly those facing emotional distress or family-related issues. The girls were reportedly lured into religious discussions through online games and later introduced to Pakistan-based handlers who provided religious instruction and guidance.<\/p>\n
Two men based in Pakistan, Tanvir Ahmed and Sahil Adeeb, have been identified as key operatives. They allegedly ran multiple WhatsApp and online groups where Islamic content was shared and discussed. Investigators also found that some Kashmiri girls played a role in linking others to these groups and encouraging conversion.<\/p>\n
The funding for the network was reportedly managed through cryptocurrency, crowd-funding platforms, and financial transfers to and from Gaza.
