New Delhi: An Air India flight from Delhi to London was forced to return shortly after takeoff on Thursday due to a technical snag, the airline said.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Air India said flight AI2017, which was scheduled to depart for London on July 31, developed a technical issue mid-air. “As a precautionary measure, the flight crew brought the aircraft back for inspection,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
The airline confirmed that a second flight is being arranged to transport the passengers to London.<\/p>\n
“Our ground staff is actively assisting passengers and doing everything possible to minimise the inconvenience caused due to the unexpected delay,” the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n
