Toronto: A caf\u00e9 owned by popular Indian comedian Kapil Sharma in Surrey, Canada, was attacked again on Wednesday, marking the second firing incident at the establishment in less than a month. More than 25 shots were reportedly fired at the caf\u00e9, named Kaps Cafe, with a video of the shooting circulating on social media.<\/p>\n
The nine-second video captures the sound of rapid gunfire outside the caf\u00e9. No injuries have been reported so far.<\/p>\n
Two gangster groups, led by Goldie Dhillon and Lawrence Bishnoi, have claimed responsibility for the attack. A social media post allegedly from the gangs read: \u201cJai Shri Ram, Sat Sri Akal. Ram Ram to all the brothers. Today, the firing that took place in Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Cafe, Surrey \u2014 Goldie Dhillon and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang take responsibility for it. We called it, it did not hear the ring, so action had to be taken. If he still does not hear the ring, then the next action will be taken in Mumbai soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
The incident is being investigated by Canadian authorities, while Mumbai Police and Indian security agencies are also verifying the authenticity of the video and social media claims.<\/p>\n
This is the second time Kaps Cafe has come under fire in recent weeks. The earlier attack occurred in July and was also believed to be gang-related.
