According to reports, both players are strong contenders for selection in the squad, which is yet to be officially announced.<\/p>\n<p>The Asia Cup will be held in the UAE and Abu Dhabi from September 9 to 28, featuring eight teams. Gill and Jaiswal recently featured in the five-Test Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series against England and are expected to bring top-order stability to the T20 squad.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, left-handed batter Sai Sudarshan is also in contention for a spot in the squad. Sudarshan made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe last year but hasn\u2019t featured in the format since.
