Tampa: Pakistan Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has said his country is \u201cdeeply grateful\u201d to former US President Donald Trump, whose strategic leadership, he claimed, \u201caverted many other wars in India and Pakistan as well as in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
Munir made the remarks while addressing the Pakistani diaspora community in Tampa, Florida.<\/p>\n
Reiterating his anti-India stance, Munir described Kashmir as Pakistan\u2019s \u201cjugular vein\u201d and asserted that it was \u201cnot an internal matter of India but an incomplete international agenda.\u201d He cited Pakistan\u2019s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, saying Kashmir was \u201cthe vein of Pakistan\u2019s throat.\u201d<\/p>\n
Munir\u2019s comments come weeks after he had said Pakistan would not forget the Kashmir issue, a statement India had rejected.<\/p>\n
