Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has approved the withdrawal of the state\u2019s land pooling policy.<\/p>\n
The policy, introduced by the Punjab government, aimed to acquire 65,533 acres of land in 164 villages.<\/p>\n
However, it faced strong opposition from farmers across the state, who launched widespread protests soon after its announcement.<\/p>\n
Amid the agitation, farmer organisations had declared they would continue their struggle until the notification was officially revoked.<\/p>\n
