Reddy will contest against the ruling NDA nominee and Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan in the election scheduled for September 9.<\/p>\n<p>Reddy, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, was finalised as the opposition\u2019s choice at a meeting held at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge\u2019s residence on Tuesday morning. Announcing his name, Kharge said the former judge has always upheld constitutional values.<\/p>\n<p>All opposition MPs are set to gather at the Central Hall of the old Parliament House at 1 pm on Wednesday to formally present Reddy as their nominee.<\/p>\n<p>TMC leader Derek O\u2019Brien confirmed that the Aam Aadmi Party has also agreed to the decision.
