Mahisagar: A Class 8 student was allegedly stabbed by a classmate at a government school in Balasinor town of Gujarat\u2019s Mahisagar district, police said on Friday. The incident took place on Thursday evening when students were leaving school after the holiday.<\/p>\n
Police said the accused attacked the student with a knife, causing injuries to his shoulders, waist and abdomen. The injured boy was admitted to hospital and is now out of danger. A complaint has been registered under sections 115 (1), 118 (1)(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, other students revealed that a dispute over sports on August 20 led to the attack. They alleged the accused had brought the knife in his school bag and was seen taking it out before the assault.<\/p>\n
The incident comes just days after a Class 10 student in Gujarat fatally attacked his classmate with a paper cutter on August 19 following an earlier quarrel. The victim, Nayan Sindhi, succumbed to excessive bleeding during treatment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
