She also interacted with local residents and took ground-level feedback.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Yadav was accompanied by Col. Vinod Singh Rawat from 1 Armoured Division, ADC (RD) Amrinder Singh Tiwana, SDM Ashok Kumar, SE Drainage Rajinder Ghai, and officials from various departments. The team inspected embankments of the Ghaggar and reviewed arrangements made at vulnerable points.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Deputy Commissioner informed that no breach has been reported so far and expressed satisfaction over the current situation. \u201cIf the water flow continues in the same manner, it will gradually recede,\u201d she said. She further added that relief columns from the Army\u2019s 1 Armoured Division along with three teams of NDRF have been requisitioned and deployed at multiple locations along the Ghaggar river, covering Ghanaur, Dudhansadhan, Samana, and Shutrana areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlighting the administration\u2019s preparedness, Dr. Yadav said: \u201cOur teams are working round the clock and monitoring water levels on an hourly basis. All embankments are being checked at every 500 meters with the help of local residents. In some low-lying villages of Ghanaur, precautionary evacuations have been carried out. Relief centres have been established across the district and contact numbers of SDMs, nodal officers, and control rooms have been widely shared.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Appealing to residents, the Deputy Commissioner urged people to stay alert but not panic. \u201cDo not believe in rumours and rely only on official updates. The situation is under control, and timely alerts are being issued for vulnerable areas,\u201d she emphasized.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Providing details of the rivers, Dr. Yadav said that while the Ghaggar, Tangri, Pachisdhara, and Markanda rivers are swollen, the Patiala Badi Nadi is flowing at a very low and controlled level.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>During her visit, Dr. Preeti Yadav also met residents of Badshahpur, Harchandpura, Rasouli, and nearby villages, who expressed satisfaction with the steps taken by the administration and government to ensure their safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DC meets local residents to get ground-level feedback Badshahpur\/Shutrana\/Patran: Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav today visited several villages of Shutrana constituency situated along the Ghaggar river to review water flow and flood protection measures.
