He said that although water levels had started receding, the floods had caused extensive damage to houses and crops.<\/p>\n<p>His remarks come at a time when farmers, their unions and most political parties \u2014 except the BJP \u2014 have expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s announcement of a Rs 1,600 crore relief package for Punjab.
