Director General of Police Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda has instructed that drivers should not be stopped without reason, especially vehicles carrying families.<\/p>\n<p>The directive comes after several videos went viral on social media showing policemen allegedly harassing motorists at checkpoints.<\/p>\n<p>The DGP said the move is aimed at improving the image of Chandigarh Police.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the new instructions, the use of manual challans has also been banned.
