Under this scheme, every family in the state will now get free health insurance coverage of up to \u20b910 lakh. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made it clear that his government\u2019s aim is not just to provide citizens with basic facilities but also to take full responsibility for their health. This announcement has given Punjab a distinct identity across the country, and the scheme is being seen as a new model for the rest of India.<\/p>\n<p>Starting September 23, the scheme will first be launched in Tarn Taran and Barnala districts. In these districts, 128 special camps will be set up to register people. Officials have said that if any error or issue arises during registration, it will be resolved immediately. Once the registration is complete, families will start receiving the benefit of health cover worth \u20b910 lakh. This shows that the Mann government is not just making announcements but working swiftly on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest feature of this scheme is that there is no limit on the number of family members covered. Whether a family has two members or ten, everyone will get treatment coverage of up to \u20b910 lakh. The benefit will not only cover common people but also government employees, anganwadi workers, and other sections of society. This reflects the Punjab government\u2019s commitment to giving every citizen equal access to health facilities and to ensuring public health as its top priority.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Minister Mann said people under this scheme can avail free treatment not only in government hospitals but also in private hospitals. This will provide huge relief to poor and middle-class families who so far had to sell land, jewelry, or take loans for costly treatments. Now they can access quality healthcare without financial stress. This move will further strengthen Punjab\u2019s healthcare system and give people confidence to take care of their families without fear of economic burden.<\/p>\n<p>The government also announced that the existing 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics in the state will be increased to 1,000 soon. These clinics are already providing free health services to lakhs of people. By combining this scheme with the expansion of local clinics, Punjab\u2019s citizens will have access to affordable and modern healthcare more easily. This proves that the government is implementing its policies with a farsighted vision to bring comprehensive change in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann added that just like his government provided free electricity to every household, now every family will get free health coverage worth \u20b910 lakh. Punjab will become the first state in India to provide such a large health cover to every family without discrimination. This step reflects the Mann government\u2019s sensitivity and commitment to the welfare of people.
