Chandigarh: Infosys Ltd will set up a new campus in Mohali at a cost of Rs 300 crore under Mission Investment in Punjab, Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora announced on Thursday. The project will be spread over 31 acres, with the first phase covering a built-up area of three lakh square yards.<\/p>\n
Speaking at Punjab Bhavan, Arora said the government aims to create quality employment opportunities for the state\u2019s youth, and the upcoming project is part of that effort.<\/p>\n
According to the minister, the first phase of the campus will generate 2,500 high-paying jobs and 210 indirect employment opportunities. He added that subsequent phases of expansion will be taken up by the company after the initial phase is completed.<\/p>\n
