This is not just a story of an investment, but of Punjab\u2019s changing industrial landscape and the government\u2019s forward-thinking policies.<\/p>\n

Toppan Films is a world-famous Japanese company that has been working since before 1900. This company makes special types of packaging films for food items, medicines, and electronics. Their specialty is that these films are very thin, strong, and environment-friendly.<\/p>\n

Big companies around the world use Toppan\u2019s packaging. Whether it\u2019s chocolate wrappers, medicine strips, or packaging for mobile phone parts – Toppan\u2019s technology is everywhere.<\/p>\n

Punjab government\u2019s investor-friendly policies. The government has created Special Economic Zones (SEZ) where companies get many types of benefits and facilities. Toppan Films is already working in Nawanshahr in partnership with Max Specialty Films. Now with this \u20b9788 crore investment, that factory will expand tremendously.<\/p>\n

The new factory will have machines equipped with cutting-edge Japanese technology. All types of specialty packaging films will be made here – barrier films for food items, pharma-grade packaging for medicines, and anti-static films for electronics.<\/p>\n

The biggest thing is that the goods made here will be exported not only in India but also abroad. These packaging products with the \u2018Made in Punjab\u2019 stamp will go all over the world.<\/p>\n

Rajeev is from Nawanshahr. After completing his engineering studies, he was thinking of going to Delhi or Gurugram. But now he has got a good job at Toppan\u2019s new factory, that too in his own city.<\/p>\n

This investment will prove to be a blessing for thousands of youth like Rajeev. The factory will directly provide employment to about 2000-3000 people. This includes engineers, technicians, operators, quality control experts, and management people.<\/p>\n

But the real thing is that even more indirect employment will be created. Thousands of additional jobs will be created in sectors like transport, logistics, food shops, machine repairs, and raw material supply.<\/p>\n

The Punjab government has also started special training programs for local youth in collaboration with Toppan. Japanese experts will come here and provide training in modern packaging technology.<\/p>\n

The Punjab government has played an important role in bringing this investment. The Chief Minister himself met with Japanese business delegations and presented Punjab\u2019s possibilities to them.<\/p>\n

Toppan Films has promised to give priority to women employees in its policy. There will be a creche (nursery) facility in the factory so that working mothers can work without worry.<\/p>\n

Women will be given special priority for many positions. There will be excellent opportunities for women in areas like quality control, lab testing, designing, and management.<\/p>\n
