CHANDIGARH: The death of IPS officer Y Puran Singh has shaken Haryana\u2019s administrative structure, turning the case into a confrontation between system and sensibility, power and truth.<\/p>\n
In a major late-night development on Tuesday, the state government sent Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujit Kapoor on leave amid the ongoing probe into the officer\u2019s alleged suicide.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Rohtak SP Narendra Bijrania had already been removed from his post in connection with the case.<\/p>\n
Following Kapoor\u2019s removal, IPS officer Om Prakash Singh, a 1992-batch officer currently serving as Managing Director of the Haryana Police Housing Corporation, has been given the additional charge of DGP.<\/p>\n
