NEW DELHI: Gold and silver prices surged sharply on Tuesday ahead of Dhanteras and the upcoming festive season. Gold prices jumped by \u20b92,850 to \u20b91.3 lakh per 10 grams in the national capital, while silver climbed by \u20b96,000 to a lifetime high of \u20b91,85,000 per kg (inclusive of all taxes).<\/p>\n
According to the All India Sarafa Association, gold of 99.9 per cent purity rose to \u20b91,30,800 per 10 grams from \u20b91,27,950 in the previous trading session.<\/p>\n
Silver, which was priced at \u20b91,79,000 per kg in the last session, registered its fifth consecutive day of gains.<\/p>\n
