WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump warned Hamas that if the violence in Gaza does not stop, \u201cwe will be forced to go there and end it.\u201d The warning came as Trump downplayed the ongoing conflict following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas last week, which was aimed at facilitating the release of hostages.<\/p>\n
However, the US president clarified that American troops would not be deployed to Gaza. \u201cWe\u2019re not going to do that,\u201d Trump told reporters. \u201cWe have people around us who will do this work very easily under our supervision,\u201d he added, without naming the countries he was referring to.<\/p>\n
Trump also said that Hamas had \u201celiminated some very bad gangs\u201d and killed many of their members. \u201cTo be honest, it didn\u2019t make much difference to me,\u201d he said, without detailing how he intended to carry out his threat.<\/p>\n
