Chandigarh: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe against Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, who was caught in a bribery case. Officials said the agency is likely to take him on remand soon and has begun preparations to file a disproportionate assets case against him.<\/p>\n
On Friday, a CBI team reached Bhullar\u2019s residence in Sector 40, Chandigarh, to assess his assets. The officers conducted a thorough search of the property, which lasted around nine hours. The entire house was videographed, and every item \u2014 from air conditioners to utensils and light bulbs \u2014 was catalogued for valuation.<\/p>\n
The CBI also recorded interactions with Bhullar\u2019s family members, typing their responses on a laptop and obtaining their signatures. According to sources, the questioning session lasted nearly two hours.<\/p>\n
On Friday afternoon, the agency continued its investigation and raided Bhullar\u2019s farmhouse in Mand Sheria village, located in the Machhiwara area of Ludhiana.
