Australia, who won the toss and opted to bat first, were bowled out for 338 in 49.5 overs. Opener Phoebe Litchfield starred with a brilliant 119 off 93 balls, while all-rounders Ashleigh Gardner and Ellyse Perry added crucial half-centuries. This total was the second-highest in a Women\u2019s World Cup knockout match, after Australia\u2019s 356 against England in the 2022 final.<\/p>\n
In reply, India made a strong comeback after losing early wickets. Openers Shafali Verma (10) and Smriti Mandhana (24) departed cheaply, and Deepti Sharma (24) was run out soon after. However, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues steadied the innings. Rodrigues led the chase with an outstanding 118, while Harmanpreet provided key support.
